Custom Built 6.0L GM LS Engine for Drift Application

This project involved the transformation of a robust 6.0L GM LS engine into a formidable powerplant specifically tailored for the demanding world of drift racing. The objective was to create an engine capable of sustained high-rpm abuse, rapid throttle response, and significant horsepower output, all while maintaining uncompromising reliability. Every aspect of this LS engine underwent meticulous evaluation and modification to meet these stringent performance criteria.
Our expert technicians performed a complete machining process to exacting performance specifications. This included precision cylinder boring and honing to ensure optimal piston ring seal and proper clearances, critical for high-boost or high-compression setups common in drift cars. The engine decks were meticulously resurfaced to achieve perfect flatness, vital for maintaining an impregnable head gasket seal under extreme cylinder pressures. Furthermore, extensive clearancing was performed to accommodate a range of high-performance aftermarket components, such as upgraded connecting rods, a high-lift camshaft, and a performance crankshaft. The rotating assembly received comprehensive balancing to minimize vibration and maximize durability at high RPMs, ensuring this custom-built LS engine delivers aggressive, reliable power on the drift circuit.
